Texon Petroleum advises fifth well has been drilled

TEXON Petroleum has advised its fifth well on its Leighton Project has reached a total depth of 3,359m.

Texon Petroleum says the drill has occurred after the oil and gas shows in the Olmos and Eagle Ford Shale reservoirs were intersected.

Texon Petroleum claims within the next 10 to 15 days, production casing will be running the Olmos before it is placed on production.

According to Texon Petroleum, the original depth of the drill was 3,444m to penetrate the Edwards Limestone which underlines the Eagle Ford Shale reservoirs, but the company found it too difficult preventing them from drilling further.
